Register now for Super Summit 2011

Super Summit 2011 – Changed Forever
Monday 4th July – Friday 8th July
Philip Island Adventure Resort

This year all of the Christian Unions across Victoria will be getting together for a ‘Super Summit’!
Summit is the best camp of the year. It’s 5 days of fun, meeting new people, and growing with God!

What to expect:
Plenty of ‘RMIT’ time to hang out together and have fun – play sport, games, or go for a coffee.  We’ll also be learning from God’s Word together as we hear awesome Bible talks from Lamentations and discuss in small groups.

There will be some huge ‘all in’ Victorian sessions in the evenings, with great Bible teaching from Mike Raiter – Principle of Melbourne School of Theology, vibrant music, and inspiring stories.

RMIT Speaker: Steve Denness
Steve loves it how God speaks to us throughout the Bible, even those parts we aren’t used to (like Lamentations).  During RMIT campus time, Steve will be explaining how the book of Lamentations is a useful message from God for us today.

What to bring:
Sleeping bag or blankets, sheets, pillow, clothes, spare shoes (for walking), board games, bible & pens, and spare money for coffee etc.

Getting to camp:
We will be car pooling to camp. You will be contacted regarding transport during the week prior to Summit.

Cost:

$220 if this is your first Summit
$240 if you’ve been to Summit before

(We’ve been able to reduce the price from $250 thanks to a grant from the RMIT Student Union)

Make sure you enter your reduced price when registering (below).

If money is an issue for you, please don’t let it stop you from coming, speak to a CU leader about the possibility of a subsidy.

Campsite Details:

Philip Island Adventure Resort is a beautiful campsite located about two hours from Melbourne on 80 acres in the heart of Philip Island. It’s a comfortable place to stay, with heated accommodation, all meals provided for, and plenty of activities.

You can check out more info about it at http://cyc.org.au/piar/

Monday 28th June – Friday 2nd July

@ Adanac Camp, Yarra Junction

Summit isn’t called ‘Summit’ for no reason. It really is the best CU event of the year.  5 days during the mid-year vacation having an awesome time with new friends, finding out about God’s love, it could be the top of your year!

A Lunch @ 2009 Summit

What to expect:

New friends, plenty of time to hang out – play sport, have coffee or check out the local op shops.  Topical seminars on important issues, thought provoking Bible talks, bookshop with great Christian books, singing and more fun than would have at home! plus 5 days of having someone else do all the cooking!

Our Speakers:

Steve Williams

Steve Williams is married to Jean and they have 4 children; Lizzy, Ben, Thomas and Andrew. Steve has been working for the RMIT Christian Union longer than most of have known that RMIT existed. In an ideal world Steve would watch Carlton win a premiership while sitting in the bath. Realistically he can only watch relays and has to sit on the couch to do so. Steve will be speaking to us on “The Love of God.”

Steve Denness

Steve Denness is married to Mel and they have 3 children; Ella, Alex and Edward. Steve studied Environmental Engineering at RMIT and is now back to help build the kingdom of God at RMIT instead of roads and bridges. Steve enjoys taking photos and is secretly trying to become a millionaire by selling them on the internet. Steve will help us to see what God is saying to us from 1 John.
