Our trip on Monday March 12 is to Healesville Sanctuary Zoo! It is known around the world as the best place to see Australian animals in their natural environment. If you would like to come, please contact Ray to book your seat.
We will meet outside Parliament train station at 8:45am, to leave at 9am. We will drive in cars to Healesville, which is about an hour east of the city centre. Tickets to enter the zoo cost $19.60 for student concession, $25.40 for adults.
Highlights will likely include watching wedgetail eagles fly and koalas sleep…worth getting up early for! We will return to the city late in the afternoon.
Please bring your own lunch, drink, hat and jacket. You can buy food at the zoo but it is expensive. Weather forecast is partly cloudy and 24 degrees.
